The Hāmama Documentary is HERE

Jenny came up with the idea of creating a documentary when she started recognizing the community and love that Hāmama was building. Jenny met Arturo at Reconnect Ice Bath and loved his professionalism, energy, and skills. She knew she'd like to work with him, so she invited him out for coffee to propose this idea to him!

When she met Arturo at Cristol one sunny afternoon and got to know him a little, she knew he was the man for the job. She explained her vision, and he was an immediate fuck yes. They cheered their drinks and started getting right down to business.

A fun fact is that Jenny and Arturo are BOTH Aquarius and have very similar ways of seeing the world and getting things done! This made the process of the Hāmama Documentary very flowy and effortless. As Jenny witnessed Arturo's ideas and excitement about this project, she quickly released control and gave Arturo complete trust and authority.

Once you watch the documentary film, it is clear that Arturo has an incredible eye for capturing the essence and emotion within Hāmama. Arturo went above and beyond to make this documentary unique and authentic. The process of filming and editing took three months to the day, which is ridiculously efficient, a true Aquarius trait. Arturo captured Hāmama's nurturing essence, safe space, community, and vision. Now, as we look back, everything makes sense: Arturo was the man for the job, Arturo is a filmmaker, and he created a film about Hāmama… It's a Documentary Film, if you will.

Throughout the three months of filming, he captured the essence of Jenny and who she is as a person, which he saw as a significant reflection of why Hāmama is so special. There were times when Jenny was confused about why Arturo was filming her and asking her questions about who she was. But as the documentary unfolded, it was clear he had a vision and saw that Jenny was a huge aspect of why Hāmama was so special. You know the saying your vibe attracts your tribe? As cliché as it may sound, it's true with Jenny and the tribe she's attracted towards Hāmama. Hāmama's community is beyond special, filled with humans from all over the world, living different lifestyles, all coming together with the same purpose - to come back home.

If you have been in hāmama, you know the warmth and authenticity of the safe space it truly is. Jenny has been through highs and lows with the studio, and if it weren't for her amazing team of Paola, her studio manager, and the teachers who bring their talent and energy, Hāmama would not be what it is today.

A special thanks to every single soul who has entered Hāmama and allowed her to be within their life. If it wasn't for each and every single one of you, Hāmama would not be what it is.

It's clear by watching this documentary that Hāmama is Community and the Community is Hāmama.

Thank you again to Arturo; Hāmama is so lucky to have been captured by you.

We would be so thankful if you could share this documentary on any social media with any of your friends or family to inspire others to come home, take a step out of their comfort zone, and say yes to their dreams.
